With Hammerite Hammered Finish you can paint directly on rust. You get 3 in 1 - anti-rust paint, primer and top coat in one. Hammerite effectively stops corrosion and provides an impact-resistant surface that repels water and dirt. You don't have to wait for things to start rusting to use Hammerite, the best protection you get when using Hammerite on new metal. You get a beautiful enamel-like high-gloss surface with built-in rust protection, a surface that will last for many years!
1. The surface is cleaned of grease and dirt, sanded and wiped.
2. Zinc / aluminum / or galvanized surfaces are primed with Hammerite Special Metal Primer.
3. Shake the spray bottle vigorously for a few minutes after the mixer ball is turned off.
4. Spray at a distance of approx. 20-30 cm from the surface, in thin layers first vertically, then horizontally.
5. Wait 15 minutes before repainting and painting wet on wet.
6. Cover and protect well.
