The Katadyn Vario water purification filter is incredibly popular because it has a dual pump function for faster clean water.
In addition, Vario offers two filter modes: “Longer Filter Life” or “Faster Filter Flow”. Longer Filter Life” or ‘ Faster Filter Flow’.
The fiberglass filter has a capacity of 2,000 liters, after which it must be changed.
The activated carbon filter has a capacity of 400 liters after which it must be changed.
When the maximum capacity is reached, the filter simply stops working and you know it's time to replace it.

Katadyn Vario comes with pre-filter, bottle adapter and case.
If you have a Nalgene wide mouth 1 liter drinking bottle, you can attach the Katadyn Vario on top of the Nalgene bottle. So the purified water flows directly into the drinking bottle.
The Nalgene Cantene and Hydrapak Stash 1 liter have the same thread as the large Nalgene bottles, so they also fit nicely on the Katadyn Vario.
